April 6, 2005 It's been a long time since I wrote about FFXI, and so much has happened!
I leveled my ninja all the way to 40! I'm wearing a full Royal Knight's
set. Thiamor was going to sell me his Ju Jitsu gi, but it was very
expensive, and in 5 levels, I would switch to Brigandine Armor anyway. |

February 2, 2005 I've been sort of levelling all of my lower level jobs to pass the time as I collected zinc ores. I needed them to get enough Norg fame to get the Utsusemi quest. Now that that is done, I've leveled my Ninja to 18. I had to stop there and level my subjob, Warrior. Let me tell you, being a tank is hard if you're party doesn't know what they are doing. I've never really minded sub-par parties before, because I was just a Damage Dealer and I still gained experience, but as a tank, if you are in a sub-par party, you end up dying, and that sucks. The End. |

January 17, 2005 This weekend, I went and got Bard and Beastmaster. They were both very
easy; I did the Bard quest by myself, and had Thiamor, a member of my
LS, help me to finish the Beastmaster quest quickly so that I didn't
have to wait for the next game day. |

January 13, 2005 All I have been doing are flag quests, really. I leveled
Ninja to 10 so that I could use dual-wield, but besides that, no levelling
on purpose (more on that later). |

January 9, 2005 After much leveling in Yuhtunga Jungle, and later, Yhoator Jungle, I finally reached level 30. Man, do I look sexy in my Noct stuff! Anyway, I went back home to Bastok to get the ninja quest, something I have been looking foreward to for quite some time. Spectralcat, a level 52 Redmage from my linkshell, TheForgotten, showed me and a fellow Forgotten, Ryujincu, the way to Korroloka Tunnel, and to the Korroloka Leaches, and finally, to Norg. We definitely could not have done it without him. I am now a level 5 Ninja/ 2 Redmage. I'm thinking about doing the ranger quest soon; it looks really easy. |

| December 29, 2004 I finally got all of me chest keys from Palborough Mines, Giddeus, and Fort Ghelsba! I traded them in and got my airship pass for Kazham. Kazham is really neat; the music is nice and it's really small, so everything you need it right next to eachother, sort of like Bastok Markets. Beware, you can only get a map of the area (Elshimo) in a building in Jueno; don't make the mistake I made and go to Kazham, go back, get the map, and go to Kazham again. I haven't level my Thief in a while. Everyone's been busy with all the holiday events, myself included! |

December 21, 2004 I've been leveling in Qufim Island for a few days. I was a little hesitant to go; when I got my monk to 20, I headed out there just to end up waiting hours for a party that never happened anyway. This time was quite different. With the proper subjob set, I got multiple invites before I even got to Qufim. I have monk as a subjob, so I can use boost. That followed by sneak attack followed by a weapon skill allows me to do over 100 damage (sometimes 200) to the bad guys. I'm level a level 24 thief now, and I can't wait to get to 30. Once I'm there, I do the quests for advanced jobs (especially ninja). I really want ninja as a sub for my thief. It will give me dual-wield, which I am really psyched about. Also, at 30, I can get my Noct gear. Okay, 'til next time! |

| December 14, 2004 It's the holidays in Vana'Diel! All of the major countries have decorated themselves, and yours truly has taken some pictures. Today, I made the long trek from Windhurst to San D'oria. On the way from Selbina to Ronfaure, I was caught unprepared by a ghost, killed, and downleveled to 19. Luckily, my level 62 whitemage friend, MizWiz, was right there. Not only did she raise me, she took me into Jugner Forest and power-leveled me for a while. I was soloing extremely hard monsters that I had never seen before because they were focusing all their hate on her, so it was very easy to pull off Trick Attacks. I releveled, gained some extra exp, and went on my way. On the way to San D'oria, I met my friend Bernar whom I met in my very first exp part. He said his linkshell was going to take on the Sandy dragon later this week, and that they would be sure to include me. So, I decided that I would level up my lower jobs until then. However, a group shouted for members to take on the dragon, and I jumped at the oppurtunity. I had one of my ls members, Spectralcat, join us. Once we got to the dragon, one of our members disconnected, and another couldn't go through the ring of fire, and he was doing the Sandy-first version of the quest. So we were thrust into the dragon fight with three members, and we were swiftly dealt with. I guess I'll just wait for Bernar. |

| December 13, 2004 So, today I finished the first half of the Windhurst-first version of The Emmisary, the 2-3 Rank Mission for Bastok. I had to go to Windhurst, which consisted of riding an airship from Selbina to Mhaura (on which I was brutally raped in one hit by a Sea Horror) and running from there to Windhurst. I got a sword offering from the Bastokan Consulate and switched it for a dull blade I was to give to the beastmen. That didn't make a difference anyway, as the Yagudo in Giddeus said it wouldn't suffice, and that he needed the Aspir Dagger from a notorious monster named Eyy. I was being attacked by about a billion (exaggeration) harder Yagudos, so a very nice Hume named Avent helped me out while I handled Eyy. I took the dagger to the Yagudo, he let me return, and the consulate told me to head to San D'oria. |
